INTERNET TIPS
Online deal hunting
For you coupon lovers, fanatical or otherwise, here are three money-saving Web sites you may want to visit before making your on-line purchases.
Dealhunting.com lists numerous discount deals obtainable only if you know the required coupon code. Many of them are limited time offers, but as of this writing, coupons were available for Amazon.com, Lancome.com, DisneyShopping.com, OfficeMax.com, OldNavy.com, and Kohls.com, to name just a few. Some savings are in the form of a code that customers key in prior to checking out from a store's site. In other cases, a code isn't necessary because Dealhunting.com provides a direct link to the site where your savings await. Coupons aren't available for all of the online stores it lists, but Dealhunting.com does provide sales and specials currently offered at each of the 1000+ stores in its directory. You can also sign up for their DealWatch alert and be notified via e-mail about just-released deals.
The PriceGrabber.com Web site, too, serves up coupon savings but on a much smaller scale. I discovered only five listings on a recent visit.
And lastly, there's the Home Theater Forum site, specifically, their deals page (www.hometheaterforum.com/deals/deals.php). Here, you'll almost always find Dell computer coupon deals, as well as money saving offers from online stores such as Buy.com, Omaha Steaks, and Circuit City.
